Barrica Tapas Bar...

...is a labour of love, born out of many trips to Spain. We wanted to create an authentic tapas bar that would not feel out of place if it were on a busy street in Barcelona. The hope is that when you walk through the door you leave the congested streets of the West End behind you for a taste of Spain.

We hope we have created an environment that people can feel relaxed enough to have a great espresso and a pastry, some olives, almonds and jamon with a glass of sherry, a glass of wine by itself with a friend or crossword, as well as somewhere to feast yourself on really good, authentic tapas or enjoy a gin and tonic made with an enthusiasm that all food and drink should be served with.

Our drinks offering is as important as the food and we have invested in a bespoke, temperature-controlled cabinet for the red wine which sits behind the bar, keeping all our red wine at 16 degrees celsius and in an ideal condition for drinking. The wines and sherries have been carefully selected to offer a full reflection of Spain's fantastic diversity. The same can be said for the food menu as we include tapas dishes with influences from all over the country. We also plan to have one Spanish-brewed lager beer on tap, however this is yet to arrive, but of course have some Spanish-brewed bottles in the fridge, as well as Asturian cider, pacharan and other great products.
